motor mount help!

anybody else blowing frount motor mounts like a son of a b****?! my motor came out of the little rubber pice attached to the radiator support.. and fell back against the firewall and i couldnt get into any bottom gears.. 2-4-6. so i got it replaced, a week later launched it 2 times at 3k rpms and BOOM, screwed another motor mount... idk if its blowing, or if the engine is sliding back and out... HELP..



anyone else having this problem with their 2.7t?

I haven't ever seen that happening. You must have broken engine or trans mounts allowing the engine and trans to be thrown backwards. The front mount only helps with up and down in the front not front to back movement. Also a drive train stabilizer would help. One of my favorite mods before turbos.

i just had the snub mount replaced (thats the one that keeps popping out) as well a tranny mount and had the others checked

+ i havent the money for a dts at the present

there just should be a way to "pop out" the snub mount if the others are ok unless something else doesn't line up. The metal part the sub mount is on should stick into the hole and the mount is just a bushing to keep it from being metal on metal. Perhaps the subframe is misaligned. Or perhaps whoever checked the mounts didn't really understand what they were doing.
