My 1983 Rabbit GTI i picked it up wed night and i have to say im impressed with the power for being such a little engine, of course there are some bugs i have to work out but is going to be my new project the next step on this will be the webers and the wheels.... so soon ill get some updated pics.. and YES im getting rid of those 17" rims lol

looks good but even with a cup kit the 17" wheels make it look like its not even droped.

whats the drop on the hr's?

I like ther newer style rims on it though,and the blue seats!

Looks good. Someone went through a lot of effort to color match stuff blue. Looks like it has a lot of nice stuff done already.

dude I found a place here in Lumberton that has 5 cabrio's all mk1 style and 2 cabby trucks.

He offered me a running one with a good top for 600.

he has 2 sets of ATS 13" cups and the rest are teardrops,steelies,and bottle cap rims.

He also has a dozen or so aircooled bugs.

Going back tommrow to get some pictures if he lets me.

I moved to DE back in September of 2007, I'm here temporary until my girlfriend finished school @ Drexel which hopefully will be sooner rather then later. Once that is done I’ll be coming back to NC quick time, gotta tell you not a fan of DE at all, there’s a good reason why I moved to NC lol.

When I do come back, most likely will be moving to Charlotte just because I'm in the banking field but if something comes up in RTP I'll be all over it.

if you get a chance go to capriottis in wilmington De. they are the best subs youve ever had... when i lived there there was always something to do specially in Newark with UofD there. the bars dont close till 3am and everything is close as far as going placed to do stuff but i do have to say NC is nicer and so are the people thats why im here also. did you go to waterfest? you were only 45 min away from it.....

Oh yeah I know all about Capriotti's, their Italian is outrageously good. I did not go to Waterfest as I was in NC that weekend, even if I was in town I probably would have stayed home, never liked the Waterfest atmosphere. I will be going to H20i this year for sure though, cant wait.
