nice goods. I still need to pull the vacuum line still going to the pcv. It still opens up under vacuum to pull the excess vapors into the intake mani and it keeps the catch can from filling up every week, but I wanna get all that plumbing outta there. I also need to start playing with resistors(hint:rob) in order to trick that stupid leak detection pump from throwing a code...and to start pulling out the n112 and possible the secondary air bs.
edit: nice piece of glass of you got there..lol

my sec air was gone a long time ago..pretty pointless since its there to heat up the cat quicker and uh yea..that was gone a long time ago too

What all did you need to do to remove the sec. air system?

i took the n249 (its not really the n249 but its the exact same valve) valve that controls it out of the loop, removed the sec air pump itself, and made a plate that bolted to the combi valve to cover the hole on it
edit: you could remove the combi valve itself too but mines on the backside of the head and pita to get to so i just made a plate that bolted to it instead of the cyl head

quick question applicable to yareka and zooyork...
did you guys put steel wool or anything in your catch can to help catch the oil vapors?

yup....its gets pretty nasty in there. Just be careful, depending on how much blowby you get and how much wool you put in there...she can overflow pretty quick and throw stuff right back in the intake. Thats why I had the smoke screen mod thread on the old forum...lol.

I actually use those steel scrubber things instead of the wool (I don't know what they're called exactly).
Kinda like this:

Since I'm back to being a noob again
Is a Catch can worth it in a lightly modded car? (chip exhaust dv intake) Am I throwing around enough oil to make it worth it?
Thanks guys :oddeye-hellyeah:

look down underneath your intake mani and it will be very obvious....mine has gotten much better after throwing in the check valve to keep boost out of the vacuum lines going to the brake booster/crankcase vent.
