Sweeet. There's one in great shape in Sanford I've seen in front of an auto repair store. Keep meaning to stop to ask about it. It's a dookie brown color.

ok.. well today was productive...
pulled the fuel dist. and cleaned it out.. the control plunger was sticking a little (thx for the tip cameron)
it would start but still wouldnt run... (same as before)
tested thermo time switch.. cold start injector was getting power.
pulled cold start injector and cleaned it off with throttle body cleaner..
sprayed a bunch of tb cleaner into the tb..
started and kinda ran for longer than it had..
i put more tb cleaner in it and we added some gas (it only had like 2 gallons from when we drained the old gas)
started up and i gave it gas.. and it ran!
then i adjusted the idle screw and got it to actually idle..
drove it about 1/4 mile around gerich's neighborhood... brakes and steering are both squishy.. but it moved under its own power..
:) :) :) :) :) :)

well, i'm kicking around some ideas for this thing...
goal:
cheap
reliable
easy
ideas:
* keep 1.6, do some maint. work, maybe add a cam
* 1.8 hydro head + aba bottom end
* full 2.0 crossflow swap on megasquirt
thoughts? suggestions?

picking up aba next weekend in chapel hill and trying to keep it cheap for now and go turbo and find digi1 or go all in for standalone. ITB would be fun but I want to try a lyshom at one point
