If you're the type of person who likes to shock the shit out of their dog, this is just the thing for you! It's like having your very own invisible gulag ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulag )in your yard, but without the forced labor and dehumanizing State enforced oppression.
Seriously though, this thing is probably great! My wife bought it last year but apparently decided it was best used to shore up the pile of miscellaneous crap in our spare room. So... other than as ballast; it has never been used. Well, after freaking the fuck out at how much it cost after looking it up at Amazon tonight; I decided to see if by some miracle there might be a masochistic dog hater out there who might want to buy it for $150. Yeah, I know, you're probably all like: "Dude, you're fucking crazy asking $150 for that thing". And believe me, I hear you. But look at this:
Amazon.com: Petsafe PIF-300 Wireless Pet Containment System: Kitchen & Dining
Damn! Right? $279.95 on sale. WTF?
As anecdotal proof to it's probable greatness I offer the following:
The people around the corner over by my kid's bus stop have one. Their dog is a certifiable asshole. Everytime we walk past it comes tearing ass around the corner all yelling/barking and whatnot. But he comes to an immediate halt right at the edge of their yard. Probably remebering all the times that collar shocked the shit out of his neck. I mean, think about it, electricity can place a certain emphasis on the point you're trying to make.
So in summation:
This thing will shock the shit out of your dog
It will probably shock other things as well
It apparently cost a lot of money
It has never been used
You should buy it from me for $150 USD... but probably less.
People on the internet who have these things seem to like them (don't know if their dogs like them, but I could guess)
Evan suggest that it might allow your gimp a limited range of freedom outside of it's storage chest
Here is a picture of it laying on my floor

Wait it's Chan? OMG, seriously? I've been calling you Chad to. But that's because of this post (http://forums.ncdubs.org/showthread.php?t=400&highlight=chad%20cronin) made in the Contact Info.... thread!
Is your full name Channing? Because if so, wow, I know your twin and you two should meet (ironically, the other Chan ALSO drives a VW).
.......in other related to this post meaningless banter and commentary...
So, wait, you don't have pets do you? Why did you wife get this? Were you trying to persuade her to do something kinky?

I'm giving Jason the benefit of the doubt here. Even though his job is basically using a keyboard, I have to assume that it was a typo. Or perhaps he really thinks my name is Chan? But either way I'm like 99% sure it is in fact Chad.
Foxie,
1. Do
2. See 1
3. No
But back on topic... I was just at Home Despot buying a whole shit load of light bulbs and while walking out I happened to see one of these on the shelf - $299.98. Now obviously I have had dozens of offers from people clamoring to buy this at this one time only low low price, so y'all don't wait too long. I can only hold it for a limited time.
Thanks for looking,
Mr. Chan
PS I'm going to see if Jason can make that my screen name and that way everyone can be correct.

3. we meet up and mix em up.. and bet ...10$ a collar... put it on and run for the fence ...whoever gets shocked gets the cash:p

BTTT for a great product.
1) I have had radio fence for a little over 2 years now. It is from the same manufacturer but a different unit. It keeps the dogs in the yard for sure, but we had to get the stronger collar for other dog we have as he could sit on the wire fence and not affect him.
Good luck with the sale.

2) Frank said you all need to man up and come over to the house and take Evan"s bet. BUT with one change in the rules. instead of using the small collar that comes in this kit, we use the new collar I bought.... He also said he would go first and show you how it's done, pending how many beers he gets in. There is a path that leads to the shop and the fence crosses it, so you have to cross the line....
Since I will not be participating in this event I will throw in $50 USD in the pot for the one that wins the event. :D:D:laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laf f::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff::laff:

i have the wired version. my 95 lb pitt just stands at the edge twitching, it has a fail safe so 30 seconds of that and he happily keeps on walking.
i found beating the shit out of hime is more effective.

$60 to put on a dog collar and get zapped to shit? damn, just might be tempting.... does it have to be video'd and posted though?

Believe it or not this is still available. I had a sweet deal ready to go down but the buyer's attorney had issues with some of the closing documents. I think y'all should buy it and have that cage match or put it on Yareka's neck or something.

Been there done that. How many ppl are putting in the $10? I'm game. A dog collar shock is weak compared to a tazer...

Seriously though, those things work pretty good. Unfortunately for me, our dog figured out that it was worth the shock for freedom and then it was a real bitch to get her back because she didn't wanna get shocked on the way back in either haha.
