Ok... From what I see everywhere there's parts for B5's that go from 1998 to 2000.5..... but the B5.5's came out in 2001.5. So did my 2001 "B5" passat happen to have some items (ie suspension) that was similar to B5.5's???? Confusion sets in....... Something tells me that Ian will be the only person that knows the answer to this.... Thanks in advance!

b5's went until 2001, the 01.5 is when the b5.5's started
nothing is different about your b5
suspension is pretty much the same no matter what year car it is

That's exactly what I thought... and still think but some of the things I've seen contradict that. I looked at neuspeed's site again and the B5.5 and B5 springs are the same part number but they still show the change from B5 to B5.5 to be 2000.5 instead of 2001.5. I've seen it other places so I guess they're all just stupid. ........which doesn't surprise me. Ian, I do believe you said yesterday something about the B5's not exactly getting a lot of attention. heheheheh.

Ian is correct. the split was in 01 to 01.5.

The B5.5 is slightly heavier and The perch heights were also slightly changed in 2001.5+ models so differnt springs and dampers are needed. You can use a B5 set up, but there have been people who got an uneven drop (the rear drops more than the front) This is especially true with Eibach Pro Kit Springs.
If you have other questions about Passats, let me know. I have owned and modified both a sedan and a wagon over the past 4 years. :oddeye-hellyeah:

Thanks.... this is a beast that I know nothing about yet.... other than its a damn nice ride for me and the kiddies. Well, I guess I also know that the 4x4 look and hubcaps have got to go. :-)
