These suckers like thicker oil just like the old ones, right? The old man ran castrol 5w40 synthetic in it since new but I'm sure its ready for something thicker... I've got a jug of 15w50 that was intended for the Scirocco just waiting to go in. Let me know....

NOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! Run 0w40 or 5w40 synthetic! Also make sure you get the bigger filter. I'll post the part # in a minute.

I did an oil pump in one today that had been running the small filters and dino oil.

On our tour of Richard Child. Racing, they break the engines in by doing the following,,,,

1. Couple hours part load using 10W30 dino
2. Short time using MINERAL SPIRITS
3. Switch to 10W30 synth. custom mix stuff

I assume the spirits are to help get the remnants of dino out before the synthetic goes in.

While we're talking oil and oil changes, with the synthetic oil does everyone still change every 3,000 miles or do you stretch it to 5,000 miles?
