Someone called me the other day and we were talking about why some of the people on the coast are crazy. Here is the story or from what I remember of the story I was told:

So, back in the day when ships were sailing the sea, like real wooden ships-i'm talking like the 1600's there was this ship filled with tons of crazy ass drugs. Like opium, cocain (before anyone knew what it was) and all these other crazy mind altering drugs. Well this said ship crashed off the coast of Wilmington and all those drugs seeped into the soil and water supply. So everyone there has been drinking all of these drugs. When the mist rolls in off the water at night every starts to get all Thriller crazy with the air and drugs and post up on NCDubs.

It was probably "time for change," and they all had "hope" that the contents of the ship would cause them no harm. But... it ended up causing long lasting damage.
