Yeah I saw this too. Volants quality is really good and Its kind of nice that it uses the factory location to pull air from. A friend had one of these on a new body 1500 silverardo and it was LOUD. However the volant filter is supposed to be its selling point, if it is too restrictive even for a stage 1 car (if that possible) then whats the point? I wouldn't. For the price I would just save the cash and get the dbilas. Thats the nicest CAI i've seen on a MKV.

yeah the dbilas is reallyt nice but for 600$ or how ever much it costs its rediculious, if you want to see a nice cia look at the guppy cia, wow!!! but anyways yeah if you look at the filter and the way its made looks very tight, the claim i made about it beeing good for only stock is off that site i posted. makes sence tho

but im just trying to help keep everyone in the loop as much as i can

Nah, I appreciate that. I wasn't hatin'. Not a lot of guys talking about MKV's here. Its all good. I was bamboozled into buying the ABD stage 2 CAI. It was my first mod and didn't research at al. It was more than the volant and after months of playing with it, it still won't fit right. I see your point about the volant filter but APR claims you don't even need a CAI for stage 2+ and gains are minimal so it seems that we're all wasting $200-$600 for a filter on a stick that sounds cool. Would like to see or hear the volant on a car though. I hope it is not as loud as the one on my buddys truck.
J/C but what if any CAI do you have? (sorry slightly OT)

(I don't really believe they're all filters on a stick or all CAI's were created equally.)

i have the evome v-flow and i love it, it really didnt do anyting that i can feel sept look kick ass and sound nice, yes they are all filters on a stick but on the same aspect, some are built better than others, some dont have the enclosed air box, some (like mine) have half a fully enclosed air box, i like mine cuz it was the best on the market at the time, a week after i got it the bsh one came out or whats when i herd about it. pm me what you drive

APR is suppose to come out with the intake they have for the TSI but have the pipe that will make it fit the FSI coming out sometime soon. That setup will be cheaper than dbilas with a filter in a enclosed casing. But this one looks like the same principal but do not know anything about the filter and how restrictive they are.

Neuspeed works for me. Sounds a little strange at times, but I've kind of grown fond of that sound. Yeah, they don't have much talk about MKV here, but it's all good.

Nice. One suggestion. Replace the tube in the below picture, with a large diameter and change the check valve in the middle, as shown in mine. It allows for greater air flow and takes about 10 minutes to do. Not much $$ either and it made a difference in my performance.
