ok, i just relized how my back seat fills up with water when i drive through a flooded road.
there is little rubber plugs directly under the carpet and its a hole in the frame of the car. it goes from under the carpet to directly under the car, and its like cracked. so basicly there is a hole in my car? why did vw put them there. i first nocited them the other day when i was in tyms jetta, he had the carpet out.

what are the plugs for?

Things that let water in also let it out.

If you're flooding your back seat, you probably shouldn't be driving through it, 4x4 status and all....

is the water only accumulating on the drivers side? or on both sides in the rear? either way, I'd just put some silicone or epoxy over the hole (there are plenty more) and call it a day. o yea, since it's damp you might wanna buy some calcium carbonate (DampRid). I think you can get it at a pharmacy, but if not, definitely from a boating store.

Are you still running your air conditioning? That could explain the front water issue. Mine would build up a lot of condensation because of the humidity. Moving to CO fixed that instantly.

but yeah, buy some silicone, slather it on.

check raintray drains (for the front). good luck with that.
