Got it last Saturday @ Leith...It was still in the transport wrap when we got it, only had 12 miles on it. Straight outta Wolfsburg, too! :oddeye-hellyeah:
It's a fun car to drive, lots of fun little features...the engine sounds great (even underneath all the sound dampening and factory exhaust), its safe, and she is hooked on VWs...Best wife out there :kissy:
Comments/questions? We will try to get to a GTG with it soon!

...it came from Germany? Not to sound cynical or drmatic, but I thought all MKV cars were made in Puebla, Mexico (assembled there, anyway) and the parts made in germany? Inside the driver door is a label, it should have the country of manufacture listed... is it indeed Germany?! If so that's way cool :)
Congrats either way! My friend has a white Pkg-1, she also adores it!

So they're ONLY making the Rabbits and GTIs at the Wolfburg facility, not in Puelba or the Brazil location? The Golf (er Rabbit) was so popular they had to make it in three places to meet wordwide demand, so I heard. This is cool, I'm gonna check Char's car cause if it is indeed german made, i'd strongly consider buying one.

Well Char knew before I got the words out. Wow, this is a true step forward -- good job VW! I wish my water Beetles were made in germany like my 73.
