30 mpg on the way up stock,36 the whole way back after mods

i was getting 42 mpg doing 120mph in 5th gear in my car... PROOF of a 7 hour drive back from my purchase in VA
my MFA tells me that its right as well as the trip clock reading upper 400's

i wasnt sayin that i get more than him, i just think his would go down from changing the gears

Well the fifth that I have in there now is from a GTI.. Not good for highway usage....Putting in a TDI 5th today if its the right gear....Have to count the teeth, then its off to greensboro... Maybe. Oh yea and I should have my speedo hooked up so I can calculate my mileage for razzle mcnazzle.

For one thing, It takes exactly via GPS, 8 hrs 10 mins to get to Mechanicsburg, PA going the speed limit. Which because you're only 45 mins away from my house exactly, I'm sure ether you math is wrong, or you 120MPH car made a wrong turn some were?

Nioce..that pic is before i made a bracket for the fuel filter and got rid of that blocked off coolant hose..that is blocked with a headbolt haha. Caddy goes to georgia tomorrow!

woah just looked through this thread. Seems that Im going through some last minute changes again right here before SoWo. My cylinder head developed a crack around the injector boss on number 2. The head is off as of this afternoon (thanks Lance) and willl be TIG welded tomorrow and put back together with new HG. After that I am putting a new AVX transmission in (thanks Phill) as well as a downpipe. Also have a wooden center console to hold the airride management and door cards in the making that wil be covered in the same veneer as on the dash. Should be cool when Im done.. Pics to come!
