A little something I worked on this week(thanks Ryan). A bone stock 05 mk4 pd tdi. And yes I have the run numbers backwards. :smack:

so 116/196 wheel... that would be a mild tune?

I would call it my first tdi tune. Bigger numbers are easy for it but I wanted to try and make a tdi pull better across the board. I hate a big torque spike down low falling straight down from 1800 or 1900 rpms. It just makes the car feel so slow. As for the numbers they are better then the numbers the gains are better then GIAC shows on their dyno graph.

Good for a first try, the torque is fairly flat for a TDI. Now you just need more of it. :)

Ah, I've never looked at GIACs stuff before.

The car drive SO much better now, it no longer has that little puff of acceleration at 1800 RPM, then flat on its face like the stock tune. It makes great power all the way through the rev range, pulling right up till redline. The car feels like a gasoline engine now when you hammer it, and retains the unique diesel characteristics down low. Kudos to Evan for an awesome first whack at tuning a TDI PD!!

I'm glad you like it, what matters most is the customer's response.
Let us know how your avg FE is over the next few tanks, we know winter time robs FE but... still nice to know if it changed at all with the tune.

I am just about in need of a fuel up, so after that tank is gone I'll post up economy numbers, they will probably go down though just because its so much more fun now to hold the throttle wide open :)
