Ok, finally went and got the codes pulled for the CEL that came on a couple weeks ago. Not exactly sure what he said the problem was. Hopefully a guru can chime in and help me out. Said the code was something like air flow manager? or air control? something along those lines. They told me i had to take it to the stealership and get it fixed. Not looking forward to that.

btw, fast lube on ten ten road will pull codes for free :oddeye-hellyeah:

No, he was changing my oil and asked if I wanted him to pull the code and see what it was. Seeing that my inspection ran out and i cant get it done till i get this fixed. He just told me it was something along those lines that i posted originally. Didnt know if that would ring a bell with someone.

p codes arent very specific and sometimes not very accurate

you can take the p code and get vw's 5 digit code and definition for the code and that will usually give you a better idea of whats wrong w/ the car

a p code for air metering could be maf, o2, coolant temp sensor, ect

Brett...I've always got my vagcom with me in the car. Swing over tomorrow and we'll pull the exact codes for you. Like ian said...the pcodes wont help with diagnosing problems.

Whats a good time for you? I'll be here pretty much all day and my schedule is pretty flexible. Just let me know a good time that you aren't busy and i'll swing over.
