Just picked up an 81 Caddy diesel. Its in surprisingly good shape. Drew(sirmeeps) and I are going to be doing work to it. Coilovers, new wheels, smoke stack are all on the agenda. Updates and more pics to come.....

How many miles? What transmission? How does it run? Nice to see another Mk1 diesel around.

Believe it or not it has 122k original miles. 4 speed trans for now and it ran when I bought it but had no power and smoked like hell. Just bought a parts car (84 rabbit 4 door) that had a new injection pump and 5 speed trans. I swapped the pump over and now mine runs like a top. 5 speed is next.

yessir. this thing is in great shape and everything works on it surprisingly.

Yeah, I bought it off of Craigslist in Christiansburg VA. It was about 3 hour drive there but totall worth it. The guy I bought it from new nothing about it, he had gotten and didn't know how to work on it so ended up selling it.

VMaxx coilovers for the front work good and drop plates for the rear. Oldskoolvulcanwerks has a lot of stuff for caddys. Or slap some bags on it.
