Its without a doubt my favorite wheel. I've only seen them on one other passat and I about lost it. Now I can't find the pic of it that I saw. I had no intentions of buying any wheels anytime in the forseeable future thanks to my situation but was browsing Ebay anyways and there they were... zero bids... less than half of what I've seen them go for at cheapest on the tex or passatworld.
And yes, my car does not run. I've heard the old saying "why buy shoes for a horse with broken legs" several times today. heheh

the B5 is white... no pics yet thanks to hubcaps and 4x4 but will have some when I put the wheels and springs on. Its looking like a quiick and easy job so I might tackle it tonight after work. Wheels are still in transit.....

The spokes are so open that I can get my hand in there with a sponge and wipe the inside of the wheel when washing it. I love these wheels... and check out the trunklight mod I did with cold cathode tubes. :-)

Rumor has it that I'll have this car in my driveway again next fall. The Bro&Sis inlaw want to get a 4runner and they're going to give it back to me. I'm going to start stockpiling cars for my kids when they are old enough to drive. My oldest is 7. hehehe.

Its technically not anymore... the body is still as straight as an arrow but the poor fat fives paid a price for being on salt covered roads. The clearcoat flaked and they are pitting BAD in a bunch of places. I intend on refinishing them, though. I'm not sure that I'm going to drive it... might just park it and use it for parts until its needed. We'll see, my dad might want it back.

Since when did the TT style fat 5s come in 5x112? I've never seen them like that. Only the 5x100 ones from the TT. The A8 had "flat fives", they're 18s though and not polished... Learn something new every day I suppose.

The problem is they will need to be refinished. They were absolutely perfect when I had them, not a single crub rash or scratch or anything. Now, well, they suck thanks to Indiana and salt. But, I'm just the man to fix them.

Amen to that.... my bro & sis inlaw have made a bunch of $ in the Marines and have made some good financial decisions as well. They're selling the car to a friend of theirs in NJ, so it will continue to live in the dirty north getting salty although I can say the car is still 100% ding-free. Not a single scratch.
