SO if i want more surface area for cooling it would be better go with a Rad for an AC car correct?

I'd consider a lower temp thermostat first. Is your car actually non-ac with the smaller radiator? I'm running a non-ac radiator on a 16v w/ no issues.

biggest mistake i have seen in cooling, especially in hot weather are the zip tie slim fans,

with that said,,, a non a/c rad will supply ample cooling ,, a low temp thermostat is a wise idea, along with a low temp fan switch,,,, but the ultimate key is to have your fan(s) properly shrouded so that they pull air across the entire rad. sitting in traffic will happen way more often then you think.

It's an A/C car so it's got a Rad for an A/C car (I would assume). I just started deleting my A/C, I've got a Cabriolet so i figure there isnt that much of a need for A/C. But i noticed the other day my rad was wet down at the bottom near the sensor. So i pulled everything out and re-tightened the sensor. It's still leaking, I can't tell the exact spot where it is leaking from. SO i am just gunna get a new Radiator. I am running no thermostat right now so it stays cool all the time. But in the long term aspect i'm gunna get a low temp thermostat, i just wanted to get an idea of which Radiator would be a better investment, Also i wanna get a better fan for it, i feel like the OEM fan doesn't pull enough air.

But please, give me your thoughts an opinions. I know what i want to do, but you guys might have a better idea.

Is it safe to run with no Thermostat?

I was thinking about getting a Dual Fan Scirocco Shroud. I haven't really seen to many of them or heard anything about them so i'm a little unsure if its worth the investment. Also I'd like to wire my fan with a toggle switch so i can just turn it on or off manually.

To me, the biggest issue is the shroud collecting and pulling through the whole radiator. I have a mk2 supra buddy that has had major cooling issues after he added the turbo. He put a larger custom built aluminum radiator in, new and more powerful fans, thermostat, etc etc etc. He didn't solve his problem until he had a custom shroud built. So IMHO, pay attention to how its shrouded instead of just the fan. BTW, certain B3's had a thinner dual fan setup with one motor that ran a belt between both fans. I added this to my car many years ago when I put in the 2.0l bottom end. Doesn't look as sweet as the "scirocco" aftermarket setup but no issues with cooling my car. ....as if I drive it.

Thanks man, I mean the OEM Shroud is great i just feel like the fast doesn't pull fast enough. Like i said before I'm running no thermostat so i haven't had an overheating problem until i sit for a while. But if you are always moving that seems to be a god way to go, except for not having any heat. I'm sure i'll figure something out

My fan broke...and heres what I did.

No pics at the moment, but I went to Autozone, got a 10 inch slim fan, and made it bolt into the old shroud. It fits perfect, works like a dream, and looks better than slim fans zip tied to the radiator.

If you're having problems with overheating, something's broken. Just fix it. It didn't overheat the way it was designed.
