As for pics, well... there aren't any special pics you can post of a TDI. Exterior is, of course, exactly the same as any other MKIV. And as for the engine... well, there's nothing too impressive to show, the turbos are all pretty damn small.

Start an M3 pic thread. I really need that, the M3 has always been one of my favorite cars. In fact... it's the only reasonable car that I'd trade my TDI in on. I've thought about it many times... but I can't justify $35k on a used M3 (if I could even get one that cheap...).

As much as I love dubs and MK4 chasis in particular, that much more I cant stand front wheel drive. I never liked it and could never get over it. Now with same power in M3 I could floor 1st gear completely and get a slight chirp and off she goes. It’s great! Oversteer can be a problem in rain, but as long as you are easy on throttle you are fine. If anything, it turns you into a serious defensive driver. The entire dashboard/seating position is flawless. I am yet to sit in the car with a better layout. Everything is geared for the driver, just like it should be.

I haven't looked hard but I thought that E46s were hard to find for under $35k? And under $30 was near impossible. Maybe that one that got paint splattered all over the interior, that one might be had for cheap.. :)

dont hate me here, im sure of all the people you are aware of it, but i just read today in USA Today this morning that prices of diesel went down only 3 cents while gasone went down almost 40c per gallon. this is due to new regulation to reduce content of sulphur from 5000ppms to 150ppms. apparently the cost to work out the new formulation is still showing on streets and most likely will stay that way for awhile.

think about it this way. you get private party/ebay sale ~ $17-18k for your jetta. put that money down for a nice certified pre-owned E46 M3 with 6 year, 100k warranty. finance about 20k or whatever and you are looking at ~$300-380/month.
