Like the Vortex preaches, S/C for decent power gains and ease of installation, turbo for big gains, but big headaches.

Not to bust anyone's balls, but there are a lot of VR6 guys on here that want to turbo their car and haven't because of the cost and downtime associated with it.

That being said, every time a VR6T is born, an angel gets its wings :oddeye-hellyeah:

if you're gonna go turbo, do it custom:
manifold from pag parts
turbo (gt40r? gt35/40r? t04e?)
misc oil/coolant lines
piping
bov
wastegate
downpipe (custom)
software

eip has a turbo kit for the 24v that i have heard good reviews for, but a lot of ppl have a negative attitude towards them (eip)

the vf kit is proven, reliable, and has decent power gains. but for big power (300+whp) you will almost certainly have to do turbo. everyone that has one loves them.. some ppl are just looking for more power than that.

i havent used either, that is just what i've heard. but it's a start.

there used to be a guy on here from clt on here that had a blown (vf kit) R32, i think..

Is there also a difference in how much wear and tear the supercharger or turbo will have on my engine? cuase i need this car to last me a while..
and yes, im leaning more towards turbo but like most ppl have said, big headaches with the pieced together kits, and i havent read many reviews on EIP but overall ive heard bad and good things about them so.
im jus lookin for some more opinions so dont hesitate to donate

sc would be less wear and tear on your engine. IMO anything over 300 whp would be useless anyway, so i would go SC. Plus i know all the vr6 guys love having the power right when they hit the pedal, so the sc would definitely still keep that aspect.

It really depends what you want out of the car; if you want a dyno beast, go turbo. Like everyone else has said thogh itll be more headaches. Track beast: go sc. It's all up to you, in the end.

Doesnt the VF engineering SC also have a stage 2 that gives me 300whp?
im only 16 so for me, it seems like SC might be what comes out on top for me but, im still not sure, i jus dont want the hassle of having to pay an assload for the turbo kit and then on top of that have to pay for alot of maintenance and downtime...idk
more opinions are always welcome
thanks again

sounds like the SC is what you want. over 300whp is useless *for a fwd daily driver*

the vf stage 2 is 305bhp.

damn, that torque gain seems to be awful low compared to the hp gain....
damnit...anyone know were i can see the dyno sheets for the stage 1 eip turbo kit?
thanks
