View Full Version : Extra O2 sensor for running leaded gas?

Well, I finally put in my new O2 sensor and still have the old one. Question is, if I keep the old one, can I still run leaded gas if I swapped that one back in? I have no Cat, so other than fouling up the O2 sensor, is there anything else I may screw up by running leaded fuel?
On that same note, is there something else that I should run other than leaded gas in order to get upto 114/116 octane?

just run the 100octane unleaded. Chances are that you arent getting any benefit even on timing 9 running the leaded gases. It will keep you from having to switch out or eventually killing an $80 sensor.

ive run leaded several times over again
both w/ a narrow and wideband sensor in the downpipe
no issues
but if youre really that worried about it..get unleaded like yareka said

the old sensor still works, however, the car seems to run richer with it in compared to the new sensor that hasnt been exposed to leaded gas.
I think I will just stick with 100 unleaded and just do some timing logs to see if there is any pull @ timing 9.
