my spacer caused a CEL ....
according to the dealer.

the diverter valve itself is fine.
but there was, what looked like a bit of oil residue on the spacer, but that could have been the rag used to hold it as it was quite hot and i did have an oil change too.

from the dealers printout
00665 P0299 002
Turbo/supercharger boost sensor (A) Circuit Value Below Lower control limit.

but ive been throwing codes for misfires the past 2 times the light has come on. the latest CEL that came on was just before the spacer installation.

the dealer also said the new OY ECU update is causing more problems than it is fixing - but they didnt have the 'update disc' when i asked about it http://www.vwvortex.com/zeroforum_graphics/screwy.gif

anyway, ive had the spacer on now for a month and almost 3k miles.

so, 94 dollars later, im back to 'stealth mode'.
they wouldnt clear the code with the spacer installed. so they hooked me for labor @ $94 and hour!
OUCH!!

For future reference, most autozone or advance auto stores can scan and clear your codes for free.

ok for one the forge dv spacer will void your warrenty when taken to a dealer you don't know. why would you take it in there for a cel?

I don't know about for MKV's, since I didn't spend the extra coin on it, but I have vag-com now.

Also may be putting up my "advance auto" style code reader. It reads "P" codes and uses a book to convert them to something meaningful. It clears CEL's. I think I recall using it on Stefano's car at Deal's gap to clear a CEL and it worked.

It was above P1000, so it was a more specific code the generic reader I have doesn't pick up.

That's why I got vag-com, so I can now get rid of that little thing.

That spacer is just a noise maker anyway.

Buy the mechanical DV conversion.

Only info I have is that it's in the works, it's has'nt been released in the UK. When it's released there I'll have more info.

ATP also has a relocation kit. It consists of an OEM DV blockoff insert. It also comes with a pipe that reciculates along the intake.

All of the 2.0T relocation kits, are going to consist of some sort of blockoff plate and require you to leave the OEM dv plugged in electronically.

I can't commet as to how any of them are going to work with DSG. The dsg likes to shift really quick and the software looks for DV operation almost instantly.

The spacers work fine on the 6 speeds. The OEM DV seems to work fine under stock boost levels. Anything above and beyond that, they fail within a couple of months to 5k miles of being chipped.

Here is that eurocode product i was talking about. Looks a lil shady to me but the guy that has it I talked to seemed to like it. it's hard to get info on it cause the info is so small on the site. you'll see what i mean. I personally am waiting for the forge product.

The eurocode kit is nothing more than an ATP adapter flange, with a knockoff $60 ebay valve, some vaccuum hose and a resistor.

Well that proves my theory that it's crap. :)
