I got the gli running just to find out i didnt install the flywheel correctly. Ive already decided to get a new clutch disk after seeing the old one. After seeing eurospec flywheels on sale at preformancecafe im really tempted to get one now. But dropping down to 8.5 lbs seems like it may hurt the driveability. The other side is that it complements the other mods to the engine (50mm intake, 4-1 headers, 1.8 16v head). Also the old flywheel isnt in the best of shape either, i would consider replacing or balancing if not going with the eurospec piece. What do you guys think is it worth $129?

i had the eurospec on Ogla ( 149whp 16v ) drove very good! I loved it... shoot stunterguy a msg for his opinion on how Olga drove for more input.

lightened flywheels are fun, you won't notice much driveablitity issue on your car VW's have what they call torque. a lightened flywheel on a honda is a whole nuther story. . .

As mentioned above, you shouldn't have any drivability issues, but you will definitely feel a difference. I'm not familiar with the Eurospec flywheel, but if you want to do this on the cheap, I've gotta believe that someone local could machine your flywheel for less than $129.

Just put one of these in my Jetta. Drivability is fine, it is definitely noticable that it is there, the only thing that sucks is stop and go traffic, I can't creep along in first or second like I used to be able to, but still worth the bucks.
