B3 Diesel?

Has anyone here converted their B3 to diesel? I am considering doing it, but I need some advice.

There was a wagon in '96....
I'm not sure there's anybody on this board that has converted anything to diesel from what I have heard. I've always wanted to do a B3 though.

its simple if you get a B4 donor or a mk3 donor.

If you search on Vortex there are a few who have. I believe one was a 16v to 1.6TD and the other to a 1.9TD. The full TDI swap is more complex than the indirect TD as the TD requires just a few wires and the TDI needs a ton of wiring and of course most are drive by wire and all.

1.6TDs and 1.9TDIs are pretty easy to come by here, you'll have to find someone to buddy up with in Canada to get a 1.9TD tho.

Unless the car is completely mint its probably just easier and cheaper to sell it and buy a used TDI. They are $$ but so are the engines alone!

I am picking up a mk3 tdi to swap into a 1990 Corrado. I will outline the various issues in a build thread either on the tdiclub or vortex.
