Well driving along the past couple of days i noticed that my turbo was getting louder and louder. at first i thought nothing of it, but then i started to notice a noise kind of like a leaf caught in a fan. so i visually looked under the hood at the thursday meet in the parking lot and saw nothing. well after the meet drining home my exhaust and turbo were very loud, so i decided the next day at work i would put it on the lift at check it out.
I put the car on the lift after work on friday just again to visually check for leaks and nothing. i then check for leaks by feel of my hand, and feel some a exhaust leak at the manifold. I thought to myself shit i dont want to have to take the turbo and manifold off. Well then i take my mirror from the top of the car, under the hood and see that one of the bolts that holds my turbo to the manifold is missings and another is loose. I get a bolt and tighten it with the others and the noise is gone. i get in my car and back it out of the shop, down the rap and i hear something metal hit the ground so i stop and get out and sure enough it is the original bolt that fell out of the turbo the first time.
So i guess the moral of the story is if you have a 1.8T with the factory turbo or if you went BT, check your turbo bolts:oddeye-hellyeah: :oddeye-hellyeah: :oddeye-hellyeah:
