My build thread hopefully will not be as drawn out as Pinky's but it might get there. This is just a long term goal and accomplishment. I hope to have everything done by February so I can attend Feb Fling and a HPDE at VIR.

Specs.~ MK1 Audi TT 1.8T 180hp, Quattro, Manual, Black on Grey leather. Current Mileage 85,000 or so.

Maintenance~ Replace Haldex controller, front CV boot, Timing belt and metal water pump, new spark plugs, new pcv/oil seperator set up.

Engine~ Engine Tune, TIP, 3'' Downpipe, Custom dual exhaust, water injection, Swiss cheese airbox, descreen MAF.

Transmission~ VR6 clutch and flywheel (eventually)

Interior~ Boost gauge

Suspension~ coilovers or cup kit, large rear sway bar

Brakes~ braided line, ATE blue fluid, ESC stage 1 kit with 2 piece rotors, Hawk HPS pads

Exterior~ New Wheels, new front lip, dual rear valence, uprated fog lights

I will post periodical updates and probably ask a lot of newbish questions as this is still my first modern car.
~Thanks all, Patrick~:pimp:

So far the MAF is de-screened and the airbox cut up. Also I have installed a Forge splitter valve and the boost gauge.

Anyone have a review on this suspension or recommendations for a moderately priced suspension?

I would buy a name brand coilover, especially if going to VIR.

Also, quote from that ebay link you posted:

This Sport Kit will fit all
- Audi TT (09.98 - 2004) 8N
1.8 and 1.8T Roadster and Coupe
won't fit Quattro !!

what does de-screening the MAF do?

Red HPA haldex controller, de-screening the MAF simply increases flow by a couple percent over a stock air straightener that is in the MAF normally.

Very nice man. MJM has very good deals on Coils. Do not do the mistake i did twice lol and go for a shock springs setup. Might as well buy coils from the beginning.

I saw your car at the Audi dealer in Charlotte, it looks very nice. A VW tech brought it in to "reset the airbag light" which they should be able to do there, that's when I figured you had the check-sum error fault, sorry to hear that.

What does that error fault mean? I have been looking for another Aibag control module hoping to fix the problem.

{Note to Self: Add some dang pics!!!}

More Updates:
~New Alternator (damn)
~New Valve cover gasket
~Ordered E-code bolt down coil packs
~Ordered Cupra R front lip
~Ordered new rotors to go with new lines and Pads

Once Audi replaces my cluster, I am very close to the proverbial 'finish line' for the car. Woot! The timeline is to get everything done by November (one year anniversary of owning the car).

It means you need to replace the module, I guess it's a processor error or something.

Those wheels do your car justice;)

Intake air sensor is a great idea but we need to get it moved around so it sees boosted air.

I was thinking about putting a hole on the piping right in front of the throttle body, but I was short on time.

~I see what you did as well
