Sup, You need some software, I recomend APR, GIAC, or REVO. After you chip it go with some exhaust, 2.5in will suffice on a ko3s. Get a 007 diverter valve to handle your new boost, get a N75 race valve so you hold higher amount of boost. Depending on your future plans a new turbo inlet pipe, front mount intercooler. As far as the rest of the car get some nice suspension. Bilsteins with H&R race springs look hot. Im partial to coil overs myself though. Also a rear sway bar will stiffen up that loose ass end and will help you handle alot better even on stock suspension. Anyway those are my sugestions in my eyes that was the best bang for the buck when i was modding my dub. Good luck and have fun with it.

for power: chip, boost gauge, downpipe, exhaust, inlet pipe (in that order)
for handling: shock/spring (or coilover), then rsb

as far as an intake goes, it doesnt really do much for the 1.8t, and it's been shown that a stock airbox, smoothed/shaved, flows better than most CAIs

what he said. But i would go with the inlet pipe then exhaust. Your gains will mostly come from the downpipe. +water meth injection. Personally i have REVO software. I had REVO stage1, and 2 and now 3. Very happy with it. You need to come more often and meet up with travis. He is the REVO dealer is a very nice guy. And knows what he talks about.
Good luck man. And concerning the CAI, it probably won't give no power. Even though the stage2 revo software requirement is a downpipe and CAI. But it will give you a sweet sound.:)

They've got a lot of cool 1.8T stuff. Water or alcohol injection. 1.8T cams. That huge intake runner. etc.... They carry the stuff the daily driver tuner may as well forget.

awsome guys thanks for the info, does the revo stage 1 software cost effecient? i am goin wait a lil while before i do major mods due to the warranty crap but i keep having the brake lights cutting out so back to the dealer monday, but all aside i love the car i work til about 9:30 or sometimes 12 mon-friday, but ill try to get off a lil early this thurs night to come chill same place?

Same place for sure.

The brake light issue should be covered under a recall iirc.

Chipping a 1.8t is the best performance gain you can get for the money almost anywhere. There aren't many mods that offer 20-30hp and 40-70 ftlbs of torque for that price point. It's a kick in the pants difference. Revo offers a free 5 hour trial of their software for you to demo on your vehicle. After 5 hours of driving time, not clock time, the software reverts back to stock.

yea ive been hearing about that demo but dont you have to have some mods and sensors bypassed, like the sensor on the factory side mount that reads temp and wont the factory intercooler piping clamps need to be upgraded? i would like to see how it does though even if its only a smaller demo, not the 20psi that kinda scares me a lil

The demo is designed around a stock 1.8t based on your ecu's code. For the stage 2 and 3 file you need mods. None of the chip tuners require you to bypass sensors to accomodate a flash.

Sometimes with a demo or a full flash the stock intercooler pancake pipe can blow off. This can happen due to the elevated boost levels and the stock piping not being attached/secured properly from the factory.

There are tons of chipped cars around running 20+ psi. With the full flash you can adjust the boost to your liking. Generally on a stock car with no other mods, you will usually see around 18psi. Add a downpipe, turbo inlet pipe and cat back exhuast and you should be able to see 20-22psi.

20psi on a k03 is about equal to 8psi on a t3 super 60. The k03 flows around 320cfm if I remember correctly.

awesome so i could flash demo it for maybe say 15-18 psi, kool they were tellin me up at the meet that i have the k03-s so i dont know if that makes a difference. but at any rate thank you and i will be there thursday night, maybe i can get in touch with the person who can flash it.
