I want to trade my Mountainsmith 6500 cu backpack for a lighter smaller pack. My mountiansmith is 6500cu and expandable to 7000, its an expedition pack. The top cover compartment is detachable and can be used as a fanny pack. It also has a sleeve for tent poles inside the main compartment.

I need a Gregory,Osprey,TNF,Lowe Alpine 3500-5000 pack. I might consider a Kelty or another Mountainsmith depending on the model.

Serious people only.

Let me know what you got. If no response in a week its going to ebay, I paid 275 dollars for it brand new a few years ago and its only been on 4 short trips.

I forgot to add its a Frostfire 65 it has been discontinued so its hard to find the exact specs.

Here are some pictures that may help, It stands about 3 feet tall and I am 6' 2" 240lb and I never had any trouble with this pack and as you can see it has awesome Lumbar support.

Its friggin huge thats my biggest problem, I have only taken it on short 3 day trips and I always overpack because of the xtra room. Ita a great 5-7 day pack but I need a 3-5 day pack.

I found an Osprey for 150 and its around 4800cu so I might get it or a 5000 gregory.

yeah.. the longest trip I've taken is 5 days.. I only weigh 150 lbs.. that pack would eat me alive.. the kelty i have right now is like a 4500cu and still gets the job done just fine
