Looking for a reasonable (under $100) price for an alternator for my '86 GTI, 1.8. Cheapest so far is a $65 reman. through Advanced Auto. This car is a daily driver, so cheaper is better. Not looking for crap, just something decent at a fair price. Thanks - John

might need to know if you have a/c or not, the a/c alt is 90 amp and the non-a/c is 65 amp iirc.
